PAI is looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude to join our team as an Accounting Manager.  We are looking for someone who is professional and attentive while also being accurate. You should always be prepared and responsive and willing to meet challenges directly.

The Accounting Manager will support accounting functions and preparation of reports detailing financial results. Establishes and maintains accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations. Specializes in multi-functional accounting areas such as general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, cost accounting, budget and forecast. Supervises professional and/or clerical accounting employees.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and execute all month-end closing activities and ensure the monthly closing process is completed in a timely manner and accurate
  • Manage cost accounting function which includes but are not limited to month-end close, analyzing variances, standard cost, budget and forecast support, reporting, inventory analysis
  • Manage account payables, expense reports, invoicing, receivables, revenue recognition, financial planning and sales commission computation
  • Prepare/review financial reporting and analysis and special projects as requested by upper management and prepare technical accounting memo
  • Manage and coordinate annual financial audit for all entities
  • Manage the preparation of all supporting schedules for tax package, insurance premiums calculations and Parent consolidation package
  • Review assigned balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage payroll audits and all related reconciliations
  • Manages fixed assets functions including physical inventory count
  • Reviews all Income tax and sales tax returns
  • Provides technical accounting direction to all accounting and finance members
  • Set up and enforce internal controls around processes and procedures
  • Ensure our accounting is in compliance with J-SOX and IFRS

EXPERIENCE: 6-8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; ideally a public accounting/private industry mix.  2+ years of supervising a staff of at least 4 people.  Proficient in Oracle R12 in sub-ledgers and general ledger.  Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting is required. CPA experience preferred

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university/college.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge: Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Access and PowerPoint; thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); experience with Oracle, Salesforce, Tableau and Adaptive Insights a plus.  Experience with Alteryx is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills and experience in financial reporting and US GAAP/IFRS accounting.  Must be highly analytical, detailed, accurate, organized, and reliable; must possess solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
  • Abilities: Should be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work independently to accomplish several goals concurrently; ability to multi-task and take initiative to meet tight deadlines.
